Rob Workman, Director

Rob is a conductor, singer, and educator who finds great joy in guiding musicians towards excellence. His diverse musical background contributes to a broad understanding of musical style, expression, and artistry. Rob’s conducting style has been praised as clear and evocative, facilitating precision and excellence in his choirs. Rob is thrilled to be working with the Gloria Dei Chorale, and he is so thankful to God for the opportunity to spread light and love through music.

Outside of his time with GDC, Rob can also be found on the podium with Pacific Voices and the Valley Festival Singers, both of which rehearse in Abbotsford. Rob also teaches music theory at Trinity Western University. Rob has also sung professionally with many choirs including Polycoro, the Vancouver Cantata Singers, and the Vancouver Chamber Choir.

Rob holds degrees from Trinity Western University (Bachelor of Arts in Music, 2017) and the University of Manitoba (Master of Music in Choral Conducting, 2020). He currently lives in Langley with his lovely wife and daughter, who graciously support his growing musical career every step of the way.
